  • Preheat your pellet grill to a temperature of 225°F (107°C) according to the manufacturer's instructions. This low and slow cooking temperature will allow the brats to slowly cook and absorb the smoky flavors.
  • While the grill is preheating, you can prepare the brats by pricking them with a fork several times. This helps release excess fat and prevent the sausages from bursting during the cooking process. You can also season the brats with your favorite seasonings, such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, or paprika.
  • Place the seasoned brats directly on the grill grates of the pellet grill. Close the lid and let the brats smoke for 1-2 hours, depending on the thickness of the sausages. The low and slow cooking method allows the brats to slowly cook through while absorbing the delicious smoky flavors.
  • Use a meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature of the brats. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the brats without touching the grill grates. The brats are safe to consume when the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
