- Pork chops
- Soy sauce

Preparation Steps
- In a pan, heat cooking oil and sear the pork chops until browned on both sides.
- Remove the pork chops from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, vinegar, peppercorns, and bay leaves to the pan.
- Return the pork chops to the pan and add water.
- Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes or until the pork is tender.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
