  • Chicken, cut into serving pieces

  • Peppercorns
  • Bay leaves
  • Pineapple chunks, with juice
  • Cooking oil
  • Water

Preparation Steps

  1. In a pan, heat cooking oil and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
  2. Add chicken pieces and brown them on all sides.
  3. Pour in soy sauce, vinegar, pineapple chunks with juice, and water.
  4. Add peppercorns and bay leaves.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
  6. Season with salt and sugar to taste.
