Ingredients
- Beef
- Soy sauce
- Oyster sauce
- Sugar
- Salt
- Five-spice powder
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- White pepper
Preparation Steps
- Thinly slice the beef and place it in a large bowl.
- Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, five-spice powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and white pepper to the bowl.
- Massage the seasonings into the beef slices until well coated. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to the lowest temperature possible (around 80°C or 175°F).
- Place the marinated beef slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the beef slices in the preheated oven for about 4-5 hours, or until they are dry and crispy.
- Remove the beef from the oven and let it cool.
- Shred the beef into fine strands using your fingers or a fork.
- Store the meat floss in an airtight container.
