African Fish Pastry
- Fish fillets
- Scotch bonnet peppers
- Ground black pepper
- Puff pastry sheets
- Egg (for egg wash)
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Blend the onions, garlic, ginger, scotch bonnet peppers, cilantro, salt, and black pepper to make a paste.
- Marinate the fish fillets with the prepared paste. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
- Place a marinated fish fillet on each puff pastry square and fold it over to form a triangle.
- Seal the edges of the pastry triangle using a fork.
- Place the prepared pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the pastries with beaten egg for an egg wash.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let the African Fish Pastries cool slightly before serving.
