- 2 lbs beef or chicken, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup peanut oil
- 1/4 cup groundnut powder (peanut powder)
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon ground cloves
- Salt to taste
- Skewers, soaked in water
Preparation Steps
- In a bowl, combine the groundnut powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt.
- Add the peanut oil to the spice mixture and mix well to form a paste.
- Add the thinly sliced beef or chicken to the paste and coat each piece evenly. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or refrigerate overnight for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or broiler to high heat.
- Thread the marinated meat onto the soaked skewers.
- Place the skewers on the grill or under the broiler and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked and slightly charred.
- Remove from heat and let the skewers rest for a few minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
