Preparation Steps

  1. Soak the beans in water overnight or for at least 5 hours.
  2. Drain the soaked beans and rinse thoroughly.
  3. In a large pot, add the rinsed beans and enough water to cover them. Cook the beans until they are tender.
  4. While the beans are cooking, prepare the sauce. Heat palm oil in a separate pot.
  5. Add chopped onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes to the pot and sauté until they are soft.
  6. Add stockfish, smoked fish, crayfish, pepper, seasoning cubes, and salt to taste. Stir well to combine.
  7. Add the cooked beans to the sauce and mix everything together.
  8. Cook the mixture on low heat for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  9. Add the vegetable leaves and stir until they are wilted.
  10. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  11. Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
