Ingredients
  

  • all-purpose flour
  • Maizena (cornstarch)
  • baking powder
  • unsalted butter, softened
  • salt
  • powdered sugar
  • vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, Maizena, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.Add the vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until incorporated.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms. The dough should hold together but still be slightly crumbly.
  • Take small portions of the dough and shape them into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each biscuit.
  • Gently press down on each dough ball with the back of a fork to create a crisscross pattern on the top of the biscuits.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the edges of the biscuits are lightly golden.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the biscuits cool on a wire rack for a few minutes.
