  • Start by preparing the amadumbe. Rinse the taros under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Use a knife to peel off the outer skin, revealing the white flesh underneath.
  • Cut the amadumbe into uniform-sized pieces, about 1 to 2 inches in length, to ensure even cooking.
  • Place the amadumbe pieces in a large pot and add enough water to cover them.Season the water with salt to enhance the flavor of the amadumbe
  • Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat and cook the amadumbe for 20-30 minutes, or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.
  • Once the amadumbe are cooked, drain them in a colander or strainer to remove excess water.
  • Serve the cooked amadumbe as a side dish, drizzled with a little butter or oil for added richness, if desired
