Ingredients

  • 3 medium sized potatoes
  • 6 tablespoons of mustard oil
  • ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt

 

What Aloo Bhaja Can Be Served With

Aloo bhaja can be served with rice or dal.

  1. Grater
  2. Kadai/deep pan
  3. Slotted spoon
  4. Paper towel

 

Steps

  1. Peel the potato skin off and use a grater to rip the potato into smaller pieces.
  2. Let the potatoes dry and sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt. Mix.
  3. Heat some oil in a deep pan for about 5 minutes.
  4. Put the grated potatoes into the oil and let it fry till it becomes light brown.
  5. When it is ready, turn off the heat and transfer the potatoes from the oil onto a plate lined with a paper towel.
