  • Wash the broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots thoroughly. Cut the broccoli and cauliflower into florets and slice the carrots into bite-sized pieces.
  • Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add a pinch of salt to the boiling water.
  • Carefully add the broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots to the boiling water. Let them cook for about 4-5 minutes or until they are tender-crisp. Avoid overcooking, as you want them to retain some crunch.
  • While the vegetables are cooking, prepare a bowl of ice water. Once the vegetables are cooked, immediately remove them from the pot and transfer them to the ice water. This helps to stop the cooking process and maintain their vibrant color.
  • Drain the vegetables from the ice water and pat them dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
