Homemade Lemon Brownies Recipe

Ingredients for lemon brownies
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1 cup powered sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
Whisk flour, granulated sugar, butter, and salt together in a large bowl using an electric mixer or hand whisker until uniformly mixed.
Whisk eggs, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon lemon zest together in a separate bowl
Pour liquid mixture into flour mixture and beat on medium speed until smooth, about 4 minutes.
Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. When a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean it done baking.
Allow it to cool until bottom of dish is warm to the touch.
Whisk powered sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and lemon zest together in a bowl until smooth to make lemon glaze. Spread over brownies.
Cut and serve warm or chilled .
