Ingredients
  

  • cabbage
  • vegetable oil
  • ginger
  • onion
  • carrot
  • chicken broth
  • soy sauce
  • oyster sauce
  • salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot. Sauté for a minute or until fragrant.Add the sliced onion and carrots to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables begin to soften.
  • Add the chopped Chinese cabbage to the pot and stir well to combine with the other vegetables.Pour in the vegetable or chicken broth, soy sauce, and oyster sauce (if using). Stir to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and let the stew simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender.
  • Taste the stew and season with salt and pepper according to your preference.
