- 6 cups of mangoes (peeled and sliced into pieces)
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 clove of garlic
- ½ cup of golden raisins
- 1 cup of distilled white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoon of red chili pepper flakes
- ¼ cup of crystallized ginger (chopped)
What Mango Chutney Can Be Served With
Mango chutney can be served with chicken, pork, lamb and cheese. It can also be used as a spread in bread or sandwich.

- Mix sugar and vinegar in a large pot and boil. Stir while you boil till the sugar dissolves.
- Add the rest of the ingredients to it and leave it to simmer till it becomes like a syrup and thickens. Stir once in a while
- When it is ready, pour it into a clean hot jar and leave about ½ inch of space between the chutney and the lid of the jar.
Mango chutney can be kept in the fridge for up to six weeks.
