- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2/3 tablespoon of salt
- ½ tablespoon of dried thyme leaves
- ½ tablespoon of dried basil leaves
- 1/3 tablespoon of dried oregano leaves
- 1 tablespoon of celery salt
- 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of dried mustard
- 4 tablespoons of paprika
- 2 tablespoons of garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon of ground ginger
- 3 tablespoons of ground white pepper
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 1 egg beaten
- Full chicken
- Vegetable oil
What KFC Chicken Can Be Served With
KFC chicken can be served with fried rice, potato chips and jollof rice.

- Deep fryer
- Tongs
- Any deep metal or iron pot/pan.
Steps to prepare KFC Chicken
- Cut the chicken into smaller pieces, wash and dry with a clean kitchen napkin.
- Mix flour with the herbs and spices in a bowl and put aside.
- In another bowl, mix buttermilk and egg thoroughly till it mixes well.
- Put the chicken into the buttermilk and egg mixture for about 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove chicken from buttermilk and coat with the flour mixture.
- Pour some vegetable oil into a heavy pan suitable for deep frying and heat for a while.
- Regulate the heat and make sure chicken doesn’t burn
- Fry the chicken in it till it’s nice and golden brown.
- Remove from oil with tongs onto a tray lined with kitchen tissue.
