Ingredients For Grilling Turkey
- 1 full turkey
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 2 potatoes
- Salt (to taste)
- Powdered cayenne pepper (to taste)
- Butter/Margarine
- Chicken seasoning
- Vegetable oil
What Grilled Turkey Can Be Served With
Grilled turkey can be served with fries, salad, stir-fried vegetables, jollof rice, fried rice and yam chips. You can also take it with a nice chilled soft drink.

Steps to Grill Turkey
- Let turkey rest for about an hour outside the fridge.
- Boil the turkey in water with a little salt for about 45 minutes. When it’s ready, drain the water from it and set aside.
- Dice carrots, onion and potatoes into a bowl. Boil the potatoes for about ten minutes and set aside.
- Put a small skillet on fire and melt some margarine in it.
- Stir fry the vegetables and potatoes in it. Add a little of the chicken seasoning and powdered cayenne pepper and mix well.
- After about three minutes, remove the skillet from fire and set aside.
- In another bowl, mix salt, powdered cayenne pepper, chicken seasoning and vegetable oil.
- Stuff the stir fried vegetables into the turkey through the hole underneath and tie the legs together with a thread.
- Brush the spice mixture all over the turkey and set it aside.
- Preheat the oven at 325 degree Fahrenheit and let the oven tray or rack be at the lowest position in the oven.
- Put the turkey into the oven and grill for about 3 hours. When it is ready, remove it from the oven and transfer it onto a large tray and garnish with some rosemary leaves.
