Ingredients For Rock Buns

  • 250g self-raising flour
  • 65g margarine
  • 70g white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons of milk
  • Black currants(optional)

 

What Rock Buns Can Be Served With

Rock buns can be served with any nice soft drink, fruit drink or beverage.

Steps to prepare rock buns

  1. Heat your oven at about 170 degrees.
  2. Sift your flour and add margarine. Rub together till it mixes well and becomes fine.
  3. Add in your sugar and egg. Mix and add in your milk.
  4. Mix together and finally add your black currants.
  5. Set aside and grease your cake tins with a little margarine.
  6. Form the mixture into small dough sizes to fit into your cake tins and put into your oven.
  7. Bake rock buns for about 15-20 minutes, and check for the desired brown colour.
  8. Allow them to cool a bit when you remove them from the oven before you transfer them unto your prepared tray or receiver.
