Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish and set aside.
  • Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and scoop out the pulp using a spoon or knife. Set aside the tomato pulp for other uses or discard it. Place the hollowed-out tomatoes in the greased baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Spoon the ground beef mixture into the hollowed-out tomatoes, pressing it down gently to fill them completely. Drizzle a little olive oil over the tops of the stuffed tomatoes for added flavor and moisture.
  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the ground beef is cooked through and the tomatoes are tender. If desired, cover the dish with aluminum foil during the first 15 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning.
