Fula is a millet dough usually made into balls and contains spices. Itis served as a beverage as well. The millet meal was usually prepared by theFulani people of West Africa

  • blender

  • ½ cup millet
  • 1 tbsp alligator pepper, ginger and cloves.
  • 4 cups milk(fermented) or yoghurt
  • Sugar (to suit your taste)


  • Put your millet into a bowl and wash.
  • Add one cup of water, your spices and blend till youget a smooth mixture.
  • Pour the blended millet mixture into a sauce pan onfire.
  • Stir till it becomes like a dough
  • Add in one tablespoon of water to the millet dough you have got.
  • Bring down the heat  and leave iton fire for about 5 minutes.
  • Use a ladle to transfer the dough from the sauce pan into a bowl. Let itcool down.
  • You can now add the fermented milk or yoghurt, mash together and servecold.
