  • salt and pepper
  • garlic and onion powder
  • cooking oil
  • all purpose flour
  • ginger powder

Instructions
 

  • Thoroughly clean the chicken feet by removing any outer yellow skin and trimming the nails. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the chicken feet for about 5 minutes. This helps remove impurities and makes them easier to work with. Drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, and ginger powder. Season the chicken feet generously with this mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow them to marinate for about 15 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, place cornstarch or all-purpose flour. Take each seasoned chicken foot and coat it thoroughly with the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere the coating. Shake off any excess flour.
  • In a deep fryer or a deep, heavy-bottomed pot, heat cooking oil to around 350°F (175°C). Ensure there is enough oil to submerge the chicken feet.
  • Carefully place the coated chicken feet into the hot oil, in batches if necessary. Fry them for about 10-12 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and become crispy. Flip them occasionally to ensure even frying.
  • Using tongs or a slotted spoon, remove the fried chicken feet from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate or wire rack to drain excess oil. Allow them to rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Transfer the crispy fried chicken feet to a serving platter. They are best enjoyed immediately while still hot and crispy. Serve them as an appetizer or snack, paired with your favorite dipping sauces or alongside other dishes.
