Today, we will learn how to make a simple breakfast meal known as rice porridge,commonly known as rice water.
First, we will look at the ingredients needed in preparing it.
Ingredients for rice porridge
- 1 cup of rice
- 5 cups of water
- A pinch of salt
- Sugar (optional)
- Milk (optional)
What Rice Porridge Can Be Eaten With
Rice porridge is mostly eaten with bread alone or bread and fried egg for breakfast.
Steps to prepare rice porridge
- Pour five cups of water into a saucepan, add pinch of salt and put on fire.(You can add more water depending on the consistency you prefer).
- Measure one cup of rice into a bowl and wash.
- Drain the water from the rice and add to water on fire.
- Stir and leave it to boil till rice soaks water and cooks.
- When it is finally ready, serve and add sugar and milk as you want it.
So you see, rice porridge is a very easy to prepare breakfast meal and doesn’t require much skill to make.
