Chicken shish kebab recipe
Ingredients
- 700 g boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
- Olive oil
- Lemon juice
- Cherry tomatoes
- Plain yogurt
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- Ground cumin
- Ground coriander
- Smoked paprika
- Dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Wooden skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and in a bowl, and prepare the marinade by mixing together the olive oil, yogurt, Lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- When the marinade is done, Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and ensure that they are well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, for better flavor, the longer it marinades, the longer it marinades, the better the flavor.
- Now prepare the chicken skewers that have already been soaked in water by threading a cherry tomato, an onion piece and then green pepper.
- You then preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat and then add the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.
- Grill the skewers for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through. If you're using a meat thermometer, it should read at least 165 when inserted into the thickest chicken.
- Serve the chicken shish kebabs with your favorite side dishes or a dipping sauce.
