Ingredients
  

  • malted barley
  • water
  • malt
  • brewing yeast
  • sugar

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, combine malted barley and water.Heat to around 65°C (149°F) and maintain this temperature for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • After mashing, strain the liquid (wort) from the mashed barley using cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer into another container.
  • Bring the wort to a boil and add hops.Boil for 60 minutes to impart flavor and bitterness to the beer.
  • Cool the boiled wort quickly using a water bath or immersion chiller.Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel and add brewing yeast.
  • Seal the vessel with an airlock and let it ferment for 1-2 weeks at room temperature.
  • After fermentation is complete, dissolve sugar in hot water and add it to the beer for carbonation.
  • Carefully bottle the beer, leaving some space at the top for expansion.Seal the bottles and let them carbonate for an additional week.
  • Chill the beer and serve in your favorite glassware.Enjoy the fruits of your labor as you savor the rich, traditional flavors of homemade beer.
