Cauliflower curry is a popular Indian dish made with cauliflower florets cooked in a blend of spices and herbs. It includes vegetables like onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and a mix of spices such as turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. The cauliflower is cut into small florets and then cooked in a spiced curry sauce until tender. This dish is mostly served with rice or Indian bread.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium-sized cauliflower cut into florets
  • Onion finely chopped
  • Fresh tomatoes chopped
  • Oil
  • Cumin seeds
  • Mustard seeds
  • Red chili powder adjust to taste
  • Garam masala
  • Turmeric powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Make ready all your ingredients. Wash the cauliflower with warm water and heat oil in a casserole dish over medium flame, and then add your cumin and mustard seeds. After few minutes, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • Now, add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil separates.
  • You then add the cauliflower florets and mix well to coat them with the masala. Cook for a few minutes.
  • When done, pour enough water to cover the cauliflower, cover the pan, and allow it to simmer until the cauliflower is tender.
  • You now spread the garam masala over the dish and you can garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Serve the cauliflower curry with rice or Indian bread.
