Cauliflower curry is a popular Indian dish made with cauliflower florets cooked in a blend of spices and herbs. It includes vegetables like onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and a mix of spices such as turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. Ingredients
- 1 medium-sized cauliflower cut into florets
- Onion finely chopped
- Fresh tomatoes chopped
- Oil
- Cumin seeds
- Mustard seeds
- Red chili powder adjust to taste
- Garam masala
- Turmeric powder
- Cumin powder
- Coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Make ready all your ingredients. Wash the cauliflower with warm water and heat oil in a casserole dish over medium flame, and then add your cumin and mustard seeds. After few minutes, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Now, add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil separates.
- You then add the cauliflower florets and mix well to coat them with the masala. Cook for a few minutes.
- When done, pour enough water to cover the cauliflower, cover the pan, and allow it to simmer until the cauliflower is tender.
- You now spread the garam masala over the dish and you can garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve the cauliflower curry with rice or Indian bread.
