Ingredients
- 1 pound macaroni pasta
- 1 pound minced turkey
- 1 onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese mixed together
- Bell peppers
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and preheat your oven. Afterward cook the macaroni pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Grab a large frying pan and heat small quantity of olive oil over medium heat. Add in the diced onions and garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant. You then add the minced meat to the skillet and brown it, separating it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, bell peppers, dried basil, salt, and pepper and any other preferred vegetable and simmer for 3 minutes.
- Now, combine the cooked macaroni with the meat mixture in a large bowl. Mix well to ensure the pasta is coated with the sauce and then transfer the mixture to a greased or casserole baking dish and sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
