Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 3/4 cups milk regular or dairy-free alternatives like almond milk or oat milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or any extract of your choice optional

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, mix together the dry ingredients that is, the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another sizeable bowl, add together the beaten eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract or any other extract (if using). Mix them very well until everything comes out smooth with no lumps in it. Then pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing though.
  • Afterward grab your waffle iron and preheat it making sure it's smooth else grease it. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the waffle iron, by looking at the quantity it can take, making sure it spreads approximately ½ inch from the edges. This is to prevent the waffles from spreading outside the waffle iron.
  • Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp on the outside. Check for doneness when the indicator light on the waffle shows or turn on.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings like fresh fruit, maple syrup, whipped cream, or nuts and enjoy with the entire family.
