Ingredients
  

  • pasta of your choice (fettuccine, tagliatelle, or spaghetti)
  • unsalted butter
  • garlic
  • heavy cream
  • parmesan cheese
  • truffle oil
  • salt and black pepper
  • fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water.
  • In a large skillet or saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Bring the cream to a gentle simmer.
  • Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the cream, stirring continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Drizzle the truffle oil into the sauce, adjusting the amount to your preferred taste. Truffle oil is potent, so a little goes a long way.
  • Season the sauce with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the truffle cream sauce. Toss the pasta gently in the sauce, ensuring it's well coated.
  • If the sauce seems too thick, gradually add a small amount of the reserved pasta cooking water to loosen it, as needed.
  • Once the pasta is coated in the creamy truffle sauce and heated through, remove the skillet from the heat.
  • Garnish the truffle pasta with additional grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley or chives, if desired.
