Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces of spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2

    cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until it's al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and a bit of dried oregano.
  • In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until they're cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and sauté until they become translucent.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes, dried basil, and more dried oregano.
  • Let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the tomato sauce and toss to combine.
  • Place the sliced chicken on top of the spaghetti and sauce.
  • Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
