Ingredients
  

  • ripe bananas
  • all purpose four
  • baking soda
  • ground cinnamon
  • granulated sugar
  • unsalted butter
  • vanilla extract
  • butter milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line the bottom of a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
    In a separate large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with buttermilk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
    Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer the cake to a cooling rack to cool completely.
