Ingredients
  

  • 9 lasagna noodles

  • 2 cups

    cooked chicken, shredded or diced

  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 egg

  • 2 cups marinara sauce

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until they're al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, dried basil, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Place 3 cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
  • Spread half of the chicken and cheese mixture over the noodles.
  • Add another layer of 3 lasagna noodles, followed by the remaining chicken and cheese mixture.
  • Place the final 3 lasagna noodles on top and cover them with the remaining marinara sauce.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the top.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let the chicken lasagna rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your homemade chicken lasagna!
