Ingredients
  

  • fettucine pasta
  • salt
  • garlic
  • olive oil
  • shrimp
  • chicken broth
  • heavy cream
  • parmesan cheese
  • fresh parsley
  • pepper
  • red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or frying pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set them aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
    Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer. Allow it to reduce by half, which takes about 2-3 minutes.
  • Lower the heat to medium-low and stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens, which usually takes about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and heat them through in the creamy garlic sauce.
  • Pour the creamy garlic shrimp mixture over the cooked pasta and toss to coat the pasta evenly in the luscious sauce.
  • Garnish with additional chopped parsley and, if you like a touch of heat, sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes.
