- 8 oz (225g) egg noodles
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry until cooked through. Remove from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Add minced garlic, sliced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.

Notes
One important thing to note when making Chicken Chow Mein is to ensure that all your ingredients are prepped and ready before you start cooking. Since stir-frying is a quick cooking method, having everything sliced, diced, and measured in advance will help you avoid overcooking any components and achieve a perfectly balanced and flavorful dish. Additionally, be careful not to overcook the egg noodles; you want them to be slightly crispy and not too soft. Keep a close eye on the cooking process to achieve the best texture and taste for your Chicken Chow Mein.
