  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1/2 cucumber, finely grated and drained

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For Serving:

  • Pita bread or flatbreads
  • Sliced tomatoes

  • Sliced red onions
  • Sliced cucumbers

  • Lettuce or fresh greens

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper to create the marinade. Add the sliced chicken and coat it well with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, allowing the flavors to infuse.
  • While the chicken is marinating, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In another bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well and refrigerate until serving.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken slices until fully cooked and slightly charred, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Warm the pita bread or flatbreads on the grill or in the oven.
  • To assemble, place a warm pita bread on a plate. Add slices of cooked chicken, followed by sliced tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, and lettuce.
  • Drizzle a generous amount of tzatziki sauce over the toppings.
