Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line your baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined and slightly glossy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • If desired, fold in the chocolate chips or chunks into the brownie batter. This adds extra pockets of chocolate goodness.
