Ingredients

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  • Insert a skewer or stick into the bottom of each potato, starting from one end and pushing it all the way through to the other end. This will serve as the axis around which you'll spiral the potato.
  • With a sharp knife, make a shallow diagonal cut into the top of the potato. Continue cutting in a spiral motion around the potato, keeping the cut as continuous as possible. The spiral cut should be about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Gently brush melted butter or olive oil all over the spiral-cut potato, ensuring the seasoning gets into the cuts.
  • In a small bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the potato, making sure it reaches between the cuts to add flavor.
  • Place the seasoned spiral potatoes on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the potatoes are crispy on the edges and cooked through.
  • Once the spiral potatoes are golden and crispy, remove them from the oven. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or chives for a pop of color and extra freshness.
