Ingredients
  

  • beef brisket
  • soy sauce
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • olive oil
  • brown sugar
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • paprika
  • dried thyme
  • black pepper
  • carrot
  • onion
  • celery stalk
  • bay leaves

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, and black pepper.
  • Place the trimmed beef brisket in a resealable plastic bag or a large dish.Pour the marinade over the brisket, ensuring it's evenly coated.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Turn the brisket occasionally to marinate all sides.
  • Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Place the sliced onions, carrots, and celery in the bottom of a roasting pan. This will serve as a flavorful base for the brisket.
  • Remove the marinated brisket from the refrigerator and place it on top of the vegetables in the roasting pan.
  • Pour the beef broth over the brisket.Add the bay leaves to the roasting pan.
  • Cover the roasting pan tightly with a lid or heavy-duty aluminum foil.Place the pan in the preheated oven and roast for 4-5 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender and easily pulls apart.
  • Once cooked, remove the roasting pan from the oven and let the brisket rest for about 15 minutes.
  • Carefully slice the brisket against the grain into thin slices.
  • Arrange the sliced beef brisket on a serving platter alongside the cooked vegetables.Spoon some of the flavorful pan juices over the brisket slices.
  • If desired, you can strain the pan juices, skim off excess fat, and thicken them with a bit of flour or cornstarch to make a delicious gravy.
