  • water
  • vegetable oil
  • ground cumin
  • chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • grilled chicken

  • sauteed beef

  • shredded lettuce

  • bell pepper
  • avocado

Instructions
 

  • In a large saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.Add the rice and stir to coat it with the oil.
  • Sprinkle ground cumin, chili powder, and salt over the rice, and stir well to evenly distribute the spices.Add water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 15-18 minutes or until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
  • Season and cook your choice of protein (grilled chicken, ground beef, turkey, shrimp, or beans) according to your preferred method until fully cooked and flavorful.
  • In each serving bowl, layer the seasoned rice at the bottom.
  • Arrange your choice of protein over the rice.Layer the shredded lettuce or mixed greens, diced tomatoes, diced red onions, sliced bell peppers, and avocado slices or guacamole around the protein.
  • Generously sprinkle shredded cheese and fresh cilantro over the entire bowl.
