Ingredients
  

  • water
  • black tea leaves
  • cardammom pods
  • cinnamon sticks
  • clove
  • sugar
  • milk

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  • Add the loose black tea leaves or tea bags to the boiling water. If using loose tea leaves, you can place them in a tea infuser for easy removal later.
  • Add the cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, and cloves to the saucepan. These spices will infuse the tea with their delightful flavors.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the tea simmer for about 5 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld together.
  • Stir in sugar to taste. Start with a small amount and gradually add more until you reach your desired level of sweetness. Remember, Arabic tea is traditionally served sweet.
  • Continue simmering the tea for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to fully develop.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the tea to remove the tea leaves and spices. Discard the solids.
  • Pour the hot tea into teacups or a teapot and serve immediately.

Arabic tea is typically served in small cups known as "demitasse" cups. These cups are smaller in size to encourage multiple servings and prolong the enjoyment of the tea.
