Stuffed potatoes recipe
Stuffed potatoes, also referred to as loaded potatoes or stuffed baked potatoes, are a dish where baked potatoes are filled with flavorful ingredients. The scooped-out potato is mixed with various additions like cheese, bacon, sour cream, herbs, vegetables, or other seasonings, creating a rich and satisfying filling. The mixture is then placed back into the potato shells and baked until the cheese is melted and the top is slightly crispy.
Ingredients
- Potatoes
- Cheddar cheese
- Sour cream
- Cooked bacon crumbled
- Onions chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Make ready all your ingredients. Wash and dry potatoes with clean water and then preheat your oven.
- With a fork, pierce each potato several times to make small holes on it and rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and bake in the preheated oven while on baking sheets.
- After an hour, remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. You then cut off the top of each potato and scoop out the inside contents and place in a mixing bowl and mash the scooped potato insides. Add the other ingredients (grated cheese, sour cream, crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper).
- Mix until well combined and restuff each potato shell with the potatoes inns that have been mixed with the other ingredients and place the stuffed potatoes back in the oven for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese melts and the tops become golden.
- Serve hot and enjoy your delicious stuffed potatoes!
