Worry no more as I introduce to you my grandma’s specialty, Grandma chicken soup recipe which is often served in various situations due to its warm nature. This delicious soup is believed to have healing properties and is easy on the stomach. Grandma's chicken soup is a traditional, homemade chicken soup recipe that has been passed down through generations within a family. It's mostly prepared at special gatherings with those unique ingredients bringing a kind of bond in the family. This soup is cherished not only for its taste but also for the memories it brings. Which is a symbol of love, and connection to family heritage.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs chicken cut into pieces
  • 2 onions cubed
  • 3 chopped carrots
  • 2 chopped celery stalks
  • 2 minced garlic
  • Chicken broth or water
  • Bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • Ginger minced
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Make ready all your ingredients and in a large pot, nicely wash and combine the chicken pieces, onions, carrots, celery, garlic, chicken broth, bay leaves, thyme, salt, ginger and pepper and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • After the chicken has cooked for a while, reduce the heat to low and add the can cream of chicken soup and allow to simmer for about 1 hour until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the pot ones it's cooked through and then shred the chicken meat and throw away the bones and skin. Return the shredded chicken to the pot and cook for few minutes. Taste and adjust the seasoning if need be.
  • Serve the chicken soup hot.
