Ingredients
  

  • all purpose flour
  • salt and pepper
  • boneless chicken breast
  • unsalted butter
  • olive oil
  • marsalla wine
  • heavy cream
  • mushrooms
  • fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Season the chicken breasts or veal cutlets with salt and pepper on both sides.Dredge the meat in flour, shaking off any excess.
  • In a large skillet or frying pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the meat to the pan and cook until it's golden brown on both sides and cooked through. Transfer the cooked meat to a plate and keep it warm.
  • In the same skillet, add the Marsala wine and bring it to a simmer over medium heat
  • Use a whisk to scrape the browned bits from the bottom of the pan. These browned bits add flavor to the sauce.
  • Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a simmer.Allow the sauce to cook and reduce for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream or half-and-half. Continue to simmer the sauce until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  • If using sliced mushrooms, add them to the sauce and cook until they are tender.
  • Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter into the sauce to add richness and shine.
  • Pour the luscious Marsala wine sauce over the cooked chicken or veal cutlets on the plate.Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a burst of color and freshness.
  • Serve the dish with your favorite side dishes, such as pasta, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables, and savor the delectable flavors of the creamy Marsala wine sauce.
