  • apple cider
  • cinnamon
  • whole cloves

  • lemon slices

  • Pour the apple cider into a small saucepan and add the lemon, orange, and cloves, along with the cinnamon stick.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to infuse the flavors of the spices and citrus into the cider.
  • After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat.Add the Aperol to the spiced apple cider mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  • Using a fine-mesh sieve or strainer, strain the hot Aperol drink into heatproof glasses or mugs to remove the spices and citrus slices.
  • If desired, add a small amount of honey or sweetener to the drink, stirring to dissolve and adjust the sweetness to your liking.
  • Optionally, garnish each drink with a cinnamon stick, orange twist, or a slice of fresh citrus before serving.
