Equipment

  • Drip coffee maker
  • Coffee filter
  • Measuring scoop
  • Water kettle

Ingredients

  • Fresh coffee beans or pre-ground coffee

  • Water

Instructions

  • Measure the Coffee: Use a standard coffee scoop, typically about 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds per 6 ounces of water. Adjust the amount to your taste preference.
  • Grind the Beans (if using whole beans): If you have whole coffee beans, grind them to a medium-coarse consistency. The grind size will depend on your coffee maker, so consult its instructions for guidance.
  • Place a coffee filter in the basket of your drip coffee maker.
  • Add the measured coffee grounds into the filter.
  • Measure the appropriate amount of cold, clean water for the number of cups you want to brew. Pour it into the coffee maker's water reservoir.
  • Turn on the coffee maker and let it brew. The hot water will pass through the coffee grounds, extracting the flavors and aromas.
  • Once the brewing process is complete, your coffee is ready. Pour it into your favorite mug, and you can add cream, sugar, or other flavorings if desired.
  • Dispose of the used coffee grounds and filter, and rinse the coffee maker components for the next use.
    Enjoy.
