Equipment

  • non stick skillet
  • tongs
  • paper towels

Ingredients

  • hake fillet
  • all purpose flour
  • paprika
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil
  • lemon wedges
  • fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Before cooking, pat the hake fillets dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This step ensures a crispy and golden crust during cooking.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the coating mixture.
  • Dip each hake fillet into the coating mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated on both sides. Gently shake off any excess flour.
  • In a large non-stick skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully place the coated hake fillets into the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the fillets are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  • Once the hake fillets are cooked to perfection, transfer them to a serving plate.
  • Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for a zesty touch.
