Ingredients
  

  • firm tofu
  • soy sauce
  • corn starch
  • vegetable oil
  • garlic
  • ginger
  • bell pepper
  • broccoli fillets
  • carrots
  • snap peas
  • mushroom
  • hoison sauce
  • sesame oil
  • rice vinegar
  • sesame seeds
  • cooked rice

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, toss the cubed tofu with soy sauce or tamari until well coated.Sprinkle cornstarch over the tofu and gently toss to coat each cube evenly.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the coated tofu cubes and cook until they are golden and crispy on all sides. Remove the tofu from the wok and set aside.
  • In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil.Sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  • Add sliced bell peppers, julienned carrot, broccoli florets, snap peas, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp
  • In a small bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
  • Return the seared tofu to the wok with the sautéed vegetables.Pour the prepared sauce over the tofu and veggies. Toss to coat everything evenly and heat through.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the tofu stir-fry for added flavor and visual appeal.
  • Serve the tofu stir-fry hot over cooked rice or noodles.
