Ingredients
  

  • all purpos flour
  • granulated sugar
  • baking powder
  • unsalted butter
  • heavy cream
  • eggs
  • vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • Add the chilled and cubed unsalted butter to the dry ingredients.Use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the cold heavy cream, cold buttermilk, lightly beaten eggs, and pure vanilla extract.
  • Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet ingredients.Gently mix the wet and dry ingredients together until a soft dough forms.If making sweet or savory variations, gently fold in the optional add-ins.
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it briefly until it comes together.Roll the dough out to about 3/4-inch thickness.
