  • chicken breast
  • eggs
  • all purpose flour
  • bread crumbs
  • permasen cheese
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • paprika
  • vegetable oil
  • lemon wedges
  • fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap or wax paper.

  • In three separate shallow dishes, prepare the dredging station. In the first dish, add the all-purpose flour. In the second dish, beat the eggs. In the third dish, combine the breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese (if using), salt, black pepper, and paprika (if using).
  • Dip each chicken breast into the flour, coating both sides and shaking off any excess.Next, dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  • Finally, press the chicken firmly into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating on both sides.
  • In a large skillet or frying pan, heat enough vegetable oil over medium-high heat to shallow fry the chicken schnitzel. The oil should be hot but not smoking.
  • Carefully add the breaded chicken to the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the schnitzel turns golden brown and crispy.
  • Once cooked, transfer the chicken schnitzel to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  • Arrange the golden chicken schnitzel on a serving platter.Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a zesty finishing touch.
