Satay sauce is also known as peanut sauce, or (saté sauce), or bumbu kacang or sambal kacang, or pecel is an Indonesian sauce made from ground roasted or fried peanuts, widely used in Indonesian cuisine and many other dishes throughout the world.

Satay sauce, though of Indonesian cuisine, now part of global cuisine, but associated mainly with Southeast Asian cuisine.
Ingredients
- Peanut butter
- Soy sauce
- Clear honey
- Garlic minced
- Grated ginger
- Lime juice
- Coconut milk
Instructions
- Get all your ingredients and combine the peanut butter, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, lime juice, and coconut milk in a saucepan and mix it until well combined.
- Put the saucepan over medium low heat and continue stirring until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
- Add the coconut milk to make the mixture smooth and and more if needed.
- Allow to simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Let it cool before serving.
- Enjoy your homemade satay sauce with grilled meats or veggies!
