This mixture is then served over or mixed with cooked pasta.

Ingredients
  

  • Minced meat beef, pork, or a mix
  • Onion finely chopped
  • Garlic minced
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Tomato sauce
  • Water or beef/chicken broth
  • Dried oregano
  • Dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pasta spaghetti, penne, or your choice
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients and in a large pot or deep skillet, add the chopped onions and minced garlic, cook until onions are translucent and the garlic separates.
  • Now, brown the minced meat over the medium heat and pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water or broth, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil, then add the pasta. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover the pot.
  • Cook until the pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the pasta is cooked, adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan and fresh basil or parsley.
