Ingredients
  

  • Potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • Minced meat beef, chicken, or turkey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Onion chopped
  • Paprika 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic cloves minced
  • Tomato sauce 1 cup
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Shredded cheese cheddar or your choice - 1 cup

Instructions
 

  • Make ready all your ingredients and preheat your oven.
  • Now add the chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing until the onions are translucent and cook the minced meat over medium heat until browned in the same skillet. Now season the meat mixture with salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir in the tomato sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  • In another bowl, mix the eggs and milk. Whisk to ensure that everything is well combined
  • Grab another bowl and mix the thinly sliced potatoes with the mixture of the beaten eggs and milk ensuring they are evenly coated and grease a baking dish and layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom, followed by the meat mixture and then add the remaining potatoes on top.
  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake until the potatoes are tender.
  • Remove the foil and sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, and bake for an additional 10 minutes to get the cheese melted and bubbly.
  • Allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes before serving.
